Under the slogan of "Developing University Counseling" on Thursday, 13/1/1441, the University Guidance Department held the first guiding meeting with the heads of the Guidance Units in the faculties and branches. The meeting was held in the light of the directives of the university director-designate, Dr. Saad Al-Zahrani, the need to develop the extension process within the University of Taif, and the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Development, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Asmari, stressed the importance of continuous communication with the heads of the extension units in colleges to advance the guidance process. University Prof. Dr. Khadija Al-Qurashi At the beginning of the meeting the diversity and comprehensiveness of the roles of the university guide with his students (academic, psychological, professional, behavioral, social, prisoners when needed) with the need to activate the role of the guide in dealing with cases before transferring Li guidance management also emphasized the distribution of all students to counselors. Dr. Al-Qahtani, Deputy Supervisor General of the University Counseling Department, spoke about last year's report and discussed the improvement plan with the heads of the extension units.He also talked about the training needs of the counselors and suggested some topics and pointed to the activation of the role of the guide in participating in the work of these courses and welcomed by the heads of units. The Head of the Academic Advising Unit, Dr. Abdel Fattah Matar, presented the tasks to be accomplished from the counseling units and their delivery dates.
For her part, the head of the counseling and counseling unit, Dr. Rabab Abu Al-Lail, trained on the system as a guide and utilized all its services in dealing with problems that hinder students from their academic performance at the university.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Khadija Al-Qurashi thanked the attendees, stressing the need for the heads of the extension units at the colleges to overcome obstacles and deal seriously with the problems facing students inside the university.
